Baek Ye-rin's band The Volunteers releases 'New Plant'

SEOUL, July 12 (Yonhap) -- South Korean band The Volunteers will be returning back to the music scene on Tuesday with their latest single, announced music label Blue Vinyl.

The Volunteer’s upcoming single “New Plant” will include total of two tracks, starting with its title “New Plant” and “Hypocreep”.

The album “New Plant”, will be The Volunteers’ first music release since their last full album “The Volunteers” released on May of 2021. The single “New Plant” will be lyrical and filled with energy.


Through major music streaming platforms, album “New Plant” will be released at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Along with their release of new single, The Volunteer will be hosting their second solo concert.

Concert will be held at the Master hall of Blue Square in Yongsan, Seoul starting on July 15 through July 17.

The volunteers is a South Korean indie band formed in 2017 which consists of Baek Ye-rin as vocalist, Jonny as the leader and as guitarist, Koh Hyung-seok as bassist, and Kim Chiheon as drummer.

Baek Ye-rin who debuted as a powerful female duo 15&, under JYP Entertainment left the label in 2019 and created her own independent label Blue Vinyl to continue on with her solo and band activities.
