SEOUL, Apr. 14 (Yonhap) -- South Korean actors Jin Goo and Gong Seung-yeon have been named the presiders of the upcoming 24th Jeonju International Film Festival, the organizing committee announced Friday.
The two actors will be hosting the opening ceremony of the festival, which is scheduled to be carried out at the Korea Sound Culture Center on April 27th afternoon, living up the mood prior to the program.
The opening ceremony will be held in the order of the photo wall event, the performance of the World Taekwondo Federation demonstration team, and the opening declaration delivered by Woo Bum-ki, chairman of the organizing committee.
Jin Goo, who made his screen debut in 2003 with the television series “All In,” has since been garnering attention for his exquisite acting skills, which he showed off in a slew of hit works including the mega-hit “Descendants of the Sun” and “A Superior Day,” as well as films “The Admiral: Roaring Currents” and “One-line.”
Meanwhile, Gong Seung-yeon recently took home the Actor Award for the Korean competition categories at the 22nd Film Festival for her role in the narrative film “Aloners.” Even before hosting the festival, she formerly served as a judge for the Korean short film competition categories at the 23rd Film Festival last year.
