Webtoon 'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar' Featuring ENHYPEN Surpasses 200 Mln Views

SEOUL, July 10 (Yonhap) -- The webtoon “Dark Moon: The Blood Altar,” created in collaboration with K-pop boy group ENHYPEN, has surpassed 200 million views, HYBE said Thursday.

 

“Dark Moon: The Blood Altar” is an original IP based on ENHYPEN, centering on the story of seven vampire boys and a girl. First serialized in January 2022, it has been translated into 10 languages, including English, Japanese, and Spanish.

 

The webtoon topped the Sunday rankings for 32 consecutive weeks in Germany and 10 weeks in Spanish-speaking regions. It also ranked in the top 10 Sunday webtoons for 60 weeks in France, 34 weeks in Thailand, 33 weeks in Indonesia, and 26 weeks in North America.

 

By genre, it ranked No. 1 in the fantasy category for 20 weeks in China, 11 weeks in Indonesia, and 10 weeks in Germany.

 

HYBE said, “'Dark Moon: The Blood Altar' has secured top positions across platforms in the U.S., Spanish-speaking countries, France, Germany, Indonesia, and more, demonstrating its global popularity.”

 

Since their debut, ENHYPEN has incorporated story elements from the webtoon into their albums and music videos. They also released original soundtrack songs for the series, including “One In A Billion” and “CRIMINAL LOVE,” allowing fans to enjoy the story with music.
