SEOUL, April 26 (Yonhap) -- Actress Youn Yuh-jung (74), chose a dress by Marmar Halim, an Egyptian couture designer, to wear on the red carpet of the 93rd Academy Awards.
Youn Yuh-jung appeared in a navy-toned long dress on the red carpet at Union Station in Los Angeles on the 25th (KST).
Marmar Halim, a brand that is not yet well known in Korea, is based in Dubai and often presents couture with thick lines and creative designs. The price range of dresses from Marmar Halim varies from 1 million won to 3 million won. While Youn Yuh-jung previously wore her Dior dress at the British Academy Film Awards, the actress emphasized her personality by choosing a relatively less well-known brand in Korea for the Academy Awards.
Youn Yuh-jung's dress that she chose to wear on the red carpet went well with her silver-toned gray hair, and she was able to emphasize her level of sophistication through her dress as they had simple yet large pockets on both sides and a belt that decorated her waist. Youn Yuh-jung coordinated the dress with Chopard Haute Jewelry, Roger Vivier's black clutch, Bottega Veneta's shoes, and completed her elegant charm with an up-do hairstyle.
Meanwhile, actress Han Ye-ri, contrasted Youn Yuh-jung's look in a red long dress by Louis Vuitton.
Han Ye-ri's high-neck long dress is Louis Vuitton's 2018 F/W piece with a unique design of buttons lined up to the top of the dress. Han Ye-ri completed her look with silver earrings and rings.
