SEOUL, July 16 (Yonhap) -- When “God of Concert” Psy (Park Jae-sang) shouted “Jump!”, the first stream of water from the 'Summer Swag 2022' concert cut through the blue sky of Jamsil.

Psy and the audiences enjoyed Friday dancing and singing endlessly at Psy’s “SUMMER SWAG 2022” concert held in Jamsil Olympic Stadium on Friday.

Psy, appearing with fireworks, performed “RIGHT NOW” and shouted “Weather in Jamsil is awesome.”

After singing his hit song “Celebrity,” he greeted the fans calling himself “Professional singer of 22 years.”

Psy asked for active participation from the audiences saying, “You guys will take home good memory but loose voices and legs,” and performed 'What Would Have Been?', 'SHAKE IT', 'You Move Me', 'Gentleman', and 'New Face.'

Conscious of the pandemic, he made hand gestures to wear masks to audiences in between performances.
When the “New Face” stage ended, S.korean singer Heize appeared. He introduced her as “daughter of P nation (Entertainment Psy established in 2019),” and she sang “Undo,” “HAPPEN,” and “You, Clouds, Rain.”

After Heize’s performances, Psy came back out to perform “NAPAL BAJI.”

He said “Pride in this show is that all people in their 10s to middle-aged people in 50s and 60s can get together.” He also said “I will sing with people in all generations” and continued the performance singing “Father,” “Daddy,” and “CELEB.”

Second special guest was hiphop group Dynamic Duo. Beginning with a huge hit “Guilty,” they performed “Chool Check” and “Fireworks.”

Group member Gaeko said “It looks like an ocean because everyone is wearing blue,” adding “I want to dive in here.”

After the sun set, audiences cheered for singers by waving the blue cheering pole. Whenever the lights went out, audiences turned on phone flashlights to create a scenery of sky with starlight.

Psy performed without getting tired. After performing 'I Love It', he sang 'Dream', a song tributed to Shin Hae-chul.

Highlight of concert, “Gangnam Style” was performed after “Dream.” Coincidentally, the music video for 'Gangnam Style' was uploaded on YouTube exactly 10 years before, July 15, 2012.

After performing “Gangnam Style,” Psy said “I cannot believe I am having my solo concert at Jamsil Olympic Stadium for three days. Even when ‘Gangnam Style’ became a big hit 10 years ago, I was not able to do it,” adding, “This is my prime time.”

He then performed “That That,” “Paradise,” and “IT’S ART” and finished the concert at 8: 57 p.m.

As a concert well known for its best value for money (performance time versus price), the encore stage lasted for an additional 1 hour and 30 minutes.

Returning with audience's encore shouts, Psy sang songs of dance singers such as So Chan-hwi, Koyote, and Kim Gun-mo, starting with Jinusean's “Tell Me.”

After dance songs, he sang rock songs without a break: “Red Sunset Glow,” “A Flying Butterfly,” “Apartment,” “Speed Up Looser,” “To you,” and “Let’s go on a vacation.”

The performance was temporarily halted as the audience passed out in the sweltering heat.

While Psy was singing Lee Sang-eun's “Someday”, one of the audiences collapsed and the performance staff rushed out. On that day, a total of four spectators passed out and went to the medical booth installed in the concert hall, but all recovered after resting.

In the second half of the performance, Psy sang “We are the one” and “Champion” and performed “It's Art” once more at the audience's encore request. All performances finished at 10:30 PM.

Psy said, “I did not have a job because I could not meet the audiences for the past 3 years,” adding, “"Thank you (on behalf of the performance staffs) for giving us jobs again after 3 years.”

On this day, most of the audiences enjoyed the performance while wearing masks. conscious of the new wave of COVID-19.

The organizers also provided one waterproof mask and three KF94s to each audiences and encouraged them to wear masks continuously during the performance.

“Swag Show”, which started in Incheon on the 9th, will be held in Seoul until the 17th of this month.

Concerts to soak up the hot summer nights will be held in Suwon, Gangneung, Yeosu, Daegu, and Busan.
