SEOUL April 5 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group LESSERAFIM has been selected as part of the "Friends of the NBA," a promotional ambassador program for the NBA, the group's agency Sos Music announced on the 5th.
In a press release on the same day, the NBA headquarters stated, "Following BTS member Suga, who was selected as an NBA ambassador in April last year, LESSERAFIM will join us. The only K-pop artists officially collaborating with the NBA are Suga and LESSERAFIM."
"Friends of the NBA" is a program in which the NBA collaborates with well-known personalities or influencers in the Asia-Pacific region to communicate with fans in new and creative ways. LESSERAFIM will engage in various activities such as attending NBA games and events, collaborating on exclusive content for social media platforms, and participating in league promotion.
Members Kim Chaewon, Sakura, Huh Yunjin, Kazuha, and Hong Eunchae plan to actively share their experiences as NBA fans on social media.
"It's an honor to collaborate with the NBA," said LESSERAFIM. "We had a great time watching an NBA game in Los Angeles last year. We look forward to experiencing more with NBA fans worldwide."
