SEOUL, June 8 (Yonhap) -- Group BTS' J-Hope has been chosen as the headliner of "Lollapalooza" Chicago, one of the biggest music festivals in North America, which will be held from July 28th to 31st (local time).
J-hope has been announced as a headliner along with the band Green Day and rapper The Kid Laroi on July 31st, according to Lollapalooza's official Instagram, Wednesday.
Lollapalooza introduced J-Hope by saying, "His performance will make history, cementing him as the first South Korean artist to headline a main stage at a major U.S. music festival."
This is the first time a member of the supergroup BTS, which has emerged as a world star, will participate as a solo at a big music festival.
