Singer Yukika officially debuts in Japan next month

SEOUL, April 29 (Yonhap) -- Yukika, a Japanese singer who is active in Korea, will release a Japanese version of "Insomnia" through Japanese music and record sites on May 19th," her agency Ubuntu Entertainment announced on the 29th.

"Insomnia" is the title track of Yukika's recently released first mini album "time about," and is a song that combines disco-style and metaphorical lyrics. Yukika translated the original lyrics into Japanese lyrics.

After the song, the agency added that it plans to release not a transition but an original album that is different from the domestic album in Japan.

Yukika was a voice actress, actress, and model in Japan before appearing on a Korean audition program in 2017.

The singer then received favorable reviews as she was nominated for the best pop album and song in the Korean pop music awards for her first full-length album "Soul Lady" and title track of that album. Additionally, on April 7th, she nestled in a new agency and released her mini album "time about,".
