SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Yonhap) -- Cha Eun-woo of K-pop boy band ASTRO will make his solo debut in eight years with his first mini-album "Entity," his agency said Thursday.
"Entity" is an album filled with candid emotions that the singer-actor feels as Lee Dong-min, his real name, his management Fantagio stated.
The album includes six songs, including title track "Stay," as well as "Where am I," which describes a hollow heart beneath a glamorous exterior. "Just You and Me" unravels a fresh and sentimental song, while "You're the best" delivers a positive message to loved ones.
Cha participated in the lyrics writing for all the songs on the album, expressing a message of "acknowledging all aspects of myself and living honestly,” Fantagio said.
The title track "Stay" is a country-pop song with a calm yet powerful guitar melody. The comforting lyrics, conveying solace to those in love and those experiencing sadness from parting, are intertwined.
Before the music’s release, Cha showed off his acting skills in the trailer videos for "Stay” on the video streaming sites.
He is set to a solo fan concert on Saturday 6 p.m. at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Seoul, where he will perform his new stage for the first time.
