SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- K-pop boy group SHINee's Japanese mini-album "SUPERSTAR" topped the daily album category on Japanese music chart Oricon, the band's agency SM Entertainment said on Thursday.
"SUPERSTAR," which was released on Wednesday, is SHINee's first mini album in about 10 years since its official debut in Japan.
Along with the title track with the same title, SHINee's original Japanese songs such as "Closer" and "Seasons" as well as Japanese language version of "Don't Call Me," the boy group's seventh regular album's title track, were included.
After the pre-release of "SUPERSTAR" last month, it reached the top of Billboard Japan's top download albums chart, and ranked No.1 on the iTunes Top Albums chart in 19 different regions around the world.
