SEOUL November 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korean K-pop superstar PSY has addressed that his success with the track “Gangnam Style” released 10 years ago has haunted the artist. For a while he has been under the pressure of coming with megahit like “Gangnam Style” however now, the artist is has found his peace even if he doesn’t come up with global megahit like “Gangnam Style.”

Throughout the interview conducted with New York Times on November 25 (US time), artist Psy addressed that the success of “Gangnam Style” has haunted the artist and had pressure of coming up with another mega hit track.

“Let’s make just one more,” artist continued on pushing himself.

In order to celebrate 10th anniversary of the success of artist’s global hit “Gangnam Style” Psy met up with journalists of New York Times and addressed that he has tried to continue on with his global career in Los Angeles, however, he was not successful with coming up with another global phenomenon after “Gangnam Style.”

The songs are written by the same person, the dance moves are by the same person and they’re performed by the same person. Everything’s the same, but what was so special about that one song?” Psy said. “I still don’t know, to this day.” addressed Psy.

K-pop global sensation Psy who was born and raised within the general area of Gangnam threw humors such as “A guy who doesn’t look anything like Gangnam Style repeatedly stating ‘I’m Gangnam Style’ is what make the track so much fun.”

New York Times not only addressed that “Gangnam Style” which has exceeded over 4.6 billion YouTube views to have raised the reputation of K-pop, Psy has opened up an individual management agency to focus on raising future generation of K-pop artists.

One of the things I love most about this job is that it’s unpredictable. We say among ourselves we’re in the ‘lid business’ — because you don’t know what you’ve got until you open it,” addressed Psy throughout his interview.

Psy, who is currently managing and helping out 10 teams of K-pop artists addressed that he feels more pressure now than before.

However, the artist described that through his success and fame he has learned how to live without chasing after and depending on the fame.

“If another good song comes along and if that thing happens again, great. If not, so be it,” adding “For now, I’ll do what I do in my rightful place.” addressed Psy throughout the interview.
