SEOUL, Nov. 30 (Yonhap) -- While the air is hot around the BTS’ 2-year-waited offline concert, the band's 2020 album “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” has recently climbed back up the chart.

The album has re-entered Billboard Main Albums Chart, “Billboard 200” as 187th rank, according to the chart Billboard announced on Tuesday on their social media page.

The chart ranks albums by the sum of the physical sales figures and number of streaming and downloads converted into sales figures.

The album regaining spotlight is the band’s 4th regular LP released in February 2020.

Following its previous album “MAP OF THE SOUL : PERSONA,” the 4th LP is a map of soul and portrays the 7 members finding their ways to their ‘complete self.’

The album ranked top for physical sales recording 646,000 sold copies in 2020 in America, according to the MRC data and the annual report of the U.S music market released in January this year by Billboard.

It has also marked 1st place for annual sales in Korea as well with about 4.38 million copies sold last year, according to Gaon Chart ranked by Korea Music Contents Association (KMCA).

Just after release, the album top-notched “Billboard 200” and stayed on chart for over 80 weeks.

It has been 1 year and 9 months since its release, but it seems the enthusiasm over “BTS Permission To Dance On Stage – LA” has called back the album’s popularity.

BTS has opened their 2 nights of the concert so far with “ON,” “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7”’s title song.

They even sang the album’s side track “Black Swan” on the 28th. During the two nights, about 106,000 fans visited the concert, according to their management agency Big Hit Music.

The band will return on stage after two days of break.

On the last day, December 2nd, the concert will be broadcast live online. After finishing all 4 concerts, they will perform for “2021 Jingle Ball,” America’s music festival on the 3rd.
