SEOUL, Feb. 12(Yonhap) – tvN’s drama “Ghost Doctor,” which displays unexpected bromance between S. Korean singer and actor Jeong Ji-hoon and Kim Bum, topped the Monday and Tuesday drama.
According to an analysis by Smart Media Rep(SMR), which distributes video on demand(VOD) of major broadcasters to online platforms, such as Naver and YouTube, on Feb. 12, the cumulative views of “Ghost Doctor” online video clips exceeded 10 million views on Feb. 7.
“Ghost Doctor” is a fantasy medical drama where the body of Go Seung-tak(Kim Bum), a rich resident in the hospital without any sense of duty, is possessed by a spirit of a genius doctor Cha Young-min(Jeong Ji-hoon).
The drama has been receiving favorable views as it shows the humorous chemistry between two characters, who have opposite characteristics and quarrel with each other.

Although competitors of Monday and Tuesday dramas, such as KBS' "Moonshine" and JTBC's "The One and Only," started broadcasting 2 weeks earlier than "Ghost Doctor," the number of video views was less than half that of "Ghost Doctor." The cumulative views of "Moonshine" remained at 4.9 million views while "The One and Only" remained at 3 million views.
SBS’ drama “Our Beloved Summer” remained the first place of video views among Monday and Tuesday dramas in the beginning of January, but “Ghost Doctor" took its place when it ended on Jan. 25.
“Ghost Doctor” is currently recording the highest number of views among new dramas last month as well as Monday and Tuesday dramas.
MBC's Friday and Saturday drama “Tracer” starring Yim Si-wan, which was first aired on Jan. 7, recorded 1.22 million views, while SBS' Friday and Saturday drama "Through the Darkness” starring Kim Nam-gil, which was first broadcasted on Jan. 14, recorded 3.06 million views.
