SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) -- Adapted original webtoon's sense of humor faithfully, drama "Unlock My Boss" has kicked off with viewership ratings of around 1%.
According to the data by Nielson Korea on Thursday, ENA drama "Unlock My Boss" aired previous day at 9 p.m. has recorded viewership ratings of 1.1%.
The first episode depicted the story of Park In Sung (Chae Jong Hyeop), unemployed job-seeker who is not welcomed at home, getting a chance to turn his life around.
While walking up the local hill to refresh his mind, Park got bitten by a snake and rolled on the ground, picking up a smartphone. Sound of male voice spoke to Park and the man, who claims himself to be the CEO of global IT corporation called Silver Lining, said his soul has been trapped inside the smartphone and if Park do him favors, he will grant 10 billion.
Based on the original hit digital comic (webtoon) of the same name, "Unlock My Boss" is evaluated to have adapted original work's sense of humor faithfully.
Park In-sung acts silly as if he is about to die when he gets bitten by the snake and takes a bite of an apple he pulled out from his breast during an interview, provoking laughter. Ridiculous situations such as button from his shirt bursts and flies straight into the mouth of interviewer also add the fun.
Most importantly, actors' enthusiastic actings catch the eyes. Rookie Chae Jong Hyeop, who is yet unfamiliar to the public, leads the scene with slick comical actings and Park Sung Woong's vetaran acting back it up.
