SEOUL, Mar. 6 (Yonhap) -- The Korean-made web novel “A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s,” written by Jung Soo-hyun who is also known for writing the script for the legendary sitcom series “Nonstop,” will be adapted into a television series.

The content platform company Ridi has recently signed a video content contract with drama producer The Great Show for this adaptation, the firm confirmed Monday.

The rom-com web novel tells the story of Yoo Ha-ri who suddenly becomes a housekeeper from a homeowner of the luxurious Tiffany Building after his first love Cha Eun-ho takes the building away from her. The novel was published by Orange D, a subsidiary of Ridi.

Jung has made herself known by writing several web novels, including “Hanyang Diary,” for more than a decade since her debut as a screenwriter for MBC’s mega-hit sitcom series “Nonstop.”

Her latest work “A Morning Kiss at Tiffany’s” is known to have been written with video adaptation in consideration even from the stage of rough drafts.

A Ridi official gave an introduction of the work by saying, “It is an exquisite work with lively plotlines and delicate emotional expressions, and there are many fans who have been looking forward to this adaptation,” adding, “We are planning to live up to the reputation of this splendid novel by producing an enthralling television series.”
