SEOUL, April. 17 (Yonhap) – “Cupid,” the first single title track of girl group FIFTY FIFTY, has surpassed 20 million monthly listeners on Spotify, the world's largest streaming platform, agency Attrakt said on Monday.
This is the shortest achievement among all K-pop girl groups since their debut in November last year.
FIFTY FIFTY has released single "Cupid" in February this year, and entered the Billboard main single chart "Hot 100" four months after its debut, the shortest period in K-pop history.
For the first time as a singer belonging to a small and medium-sized agency, not a large agency such as HYBE, YG, and JYP, he entered "Hot 100" and drew more attention.
"Cupid" is a song that honestly sings one’s mind after being rejected from confessing the love, and features a retro atmosphere and a refreshing synthesizer sound.
It gained popularity by being viral abroad before in Korea, focusing on short-form platforms such as TikTok.
Last week, it ranked 85th on "Hot 100" and 34th on the British official chart "Top 100," respectively, making it the third consecutive week.
