SEOUL, Feb. 15(Yonhap) – The virtual model Rozy, who made herself known to the public through TV commercial, will debut in the music industry.
Rozy announced through the official social media page on Tuesday, “Rozy will release the first single ‘WHO AM I’ on Feb. 22” while revealing the related photo and video.
Rozy is a virtual model developed by SIDUS Studio X by combining facial shapes favored by the MZ generation(a Korean term referring to millennials and Generation Z).
Rozy, who started performing in 2020, has drawn attention by appearing in the TV commercial of Shinhan Life as the first virtual model and she is considered as a “virtual influencer” with more than 110,000 followers on Instagram.
The production of Rozy’s debut project was joined by Vine Music and it was produced by Jung Jae-won, who produced the album of Bolbbalgan4.
Rozy explained, “The 22nd, which is the release date of the first single, has a special meaning for Rozy," adding, "We scheduled the debut date with a symbolic idea as it has a differentiated meaning of “22 years old that never gets old."
