SEOUL, Jan. 26(Yonhap) -- K-pop superband BTS and the band Coldplay’s joint song “My Universe” succeeded in staying on “HOT 100” of the Billboard main singles chart for 17 weeks in a row.
“My Universe” ranked No. 92, 2 steps higher than the previous week, according to Billboard’s latest chart released on Jan. 25(KST).
The song also ranked No. 19 on “Adult Pop Airplay” and No. 36 on “Billboard Canadian Hot 100.”
BTS named a total of 5 songs on “Billboard Hot Trending Songs Powered by Twitter” as well. The group entered the chart by ranking “Butter”at 2nd, “Dynamite” at 18th, “Yours,” a soundtrack for tvN’s drama “Jirisan,” sung by Jin, at 10th, “Christmas Tree,” a soundtrack for SBS’ drama “Our Beloved Summer,” sung by V, at 11th, and Jin’s solo song “Super Tuna” at 13th.
A total of 4 songs entered “Billboard Global 200” and “Billboard Global” (Excl. U.S.) chart, which rank songs based on streaming and sales in over 200 countries
In the “Billboard Global 200,” BTS entered the chart by ranking “My Universe” at 23rd, “Butter” at 36th, “Dynamite” at 47th, and “Permission To Dance” at 115th.
On the “Billboard Global” (Excl. U.S.) chart, the group set records with “My Universe” at 15th, “Butter” at 22nd, “Dynamite” at 30th, and “Permission To Dance” at 73rd.
The group’s fourth full album “MAP OF THE SOUL : 7” ranked No. 195 on “Billboard 200” of the Billboard main album chart, and stayed on the chart for 94 consecutive weeks. This album also ranked No. 45 on “Top Album Sales” and No. 2 on “World Album.”
The album “BE,” which was released in November, 2020, ranked No.99 on “Top Album Sales” and No. 43 on “Top Current Album Sales.”
