SEOUL, Apr. 20 (Yonhap) – S. Korean actors Lee Jun-ho and Lim Yoon-a from K-pop idol groups will play leads in the upcoming romantic comedy drama “King the Land(tentative title).”
According to the production company npio Entertainment on Apr. 20, Lee and Lim have been cast in “King the Land” and they will start filming in autumn this year.
“King the Land” depicts the story of Goo Won, a conglomerate heir who cannot stand the fake smiles, meeting the female lead Chun Sa-rang, a hotelier whose job is to always make a bright smile even when she doesn’t want to.
K-pop boy group 2PM’s Lee Jun-ho, who has received favorable reviews from the drama “Red Sleeve,” plays Goo Won, a conglomerate heir who has everything, including intelligence and dignity, except sense of romance.
K-pop girl group Girls’ Generation’s Lim Yoon-a, who has been building a solid career as an actress through diverse movies and dramas, plays Chun Sa-rang who grows up against all prejudices and misunderstandings after getting a job at the King Hotel, which gave her the happiest childhood memory.
The broadcasting platform and time of the drama have not been confirmed yet.
