SEOUL, Nov. 19 (Yonhap) -- Director Park Hoon-jung’s new production “Sad Tropics” (translated) has confirmed their cast including actor Kim Seon-ho as lead actor and will begin filming from December 10th, the producers Friday.
The film is an action noir about a boy who dreams of becoming a boxer suddenly gets chased by and has to chase some mysterious men targeting him.
Their cast includes Kim Kang-woo, Go A-ra and rookie actor Kang Tae-ju who survived through a 1,980:1 possibility to pass the audition.
Earlier, Kim Seon-ho was in the verge of getting off the cast due to the speculation of him having coerced his ex-girlfriend to get an abortion. But the film’s producers announced on Nov. 1, “After a lot of careful thoughts, we have decided to produce the film with actor Kim within the year.”
