SEOUL, Mar. 15 (Yonhap) – The webtoon “Money Game” has been produced as an American web entertainment show on YouTube, according to Naver Webtoon on Mar. 15.
The web entertainment show “Money Game,” which is based on the webtoon of the same title, is a 5-episode reality program where 8 participants begin a $300,000 social experiment in a facility isolated into separate cells for 10 days.
The program was unveiled on YouTube channel Jubilee, which has 7 million subscribers, on Monday.
According to Naver Webtoon, it is the first time that IP(intellectual Property) of a Korean webtoon has been produced as a video content by foreign producers and casts.
The staff from Naver Webtoon said, "We actively participated in the production, including the design of this web entertainment show. Based on our understanding of the original IP visualization, we highlighted the strengths of the original story and setting and added fun to the game."
