SEOUL, July 4 (Yonhap) -- Quintet K-pop girl group ITZY released teaser for their upcoming track "Sneakers", announced JYP Entertainment on Monday.
According to JYP Entertainment ITZY shared a teaser video of upcoming title “Sneakers” at midnight of July 3 through their social media account before dropping their mini album “Checkmate”.
Throughout the 17 seconds of the teaser, ITZY’s member Yeji, Lia, Ryujin, Chaeryong, and Yuna appeared in summer outfit and sang parts of their upcoming title track “Sneakers”. The song delivers a message of ITZY’s ambition to strive forward freely and to go anywhere together.
The title track “Sneakers” is produced by composition team Galactick who produced ITZY’s debut song “Dalla Dalla”, and their popular tracks such as “Wannabee”, “Loco” and more, along with Swedish composer Sebastian Thor, who worked on ITZY’s “Mirror” from their first album “Crayzy in Love”.
ITZY will kick off their world tour “ITZY The 1st World Tour” starting on August 6 and 7 at SK Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park located in Seoul.
ITZY’s American tour starting on October 26 (US time) is completely booked. Starting off in Los Angeles, ITZY will perform in Phoenix, Dallas, Sugar Land Texas, Atlanta, Chicago, Boston and New York.
ITZY’s 5th mini album “Checkmate” and the title track “Sneakers” will be released on July 15 at 1 p.m. Also Mnet will broadcast ITZY’s comeback special and the group will use Twitter’s live broadcasting system Blueroom to greet their fans.
