SEOUL, July 30 (Yonhap) -- "D.P.", Netflix's new original series set to release on the Aug. 27, announced the streaming platform, Friday.
The military drama features Deserter Pursuit (D.P.), a unit responsible for arresting deserters. As the members of the unit, Joon-ho (Jung Hae-in) and Ho-yul (Koo Kyo-hwan) face the reality they had never experienced while chasing after people with various stories.
This unfamiliar but fresh series is based on Kim Bo-tong's webtoon "D.P. Dog Days" which garnered huge popularity hitting over 10 million accumulative views. Director Han Jun-hee, spotlighted for being invited to the 68th Cannes Critics' Week with his best-known film "Coin Locker Girl", took the megaphone.
Apart from Jung and Kyoo, the cast includes actors such as Kim Sung-kyun, Son Suk-ku, Lee Jun-young, Hong Kyung, Cho Hyun-chul, Shin Seung-ho, Hyun Bong-sik, and Lee Sul.
