SEOUL, March 25 (Yonhap) -- The romantic comedy "My Dearest Nemesis" concluded with a 4.1 percent nationwide rating, data showed on Tuesday.

According to Nielsen Korea, the final episode of tvN's My Dearest Nemesis, which aired at 8:50 p.m. the previous day, recorded a 4.1 percent viewership.

The finale depicted Baek Su-jeong (played by Moon Ga-young) and Ban Ju-yeon (played by Choi Hyun-wook) excelling in their respective careers while confirming their love for each other. Instead of a dramatic public confession—something that had been a source of embarrassment in their past—Ban Ju-yeon chose a simpler, heartfelt gesture, gifting Su-jeong a necklace as a confession of his feelings. Su-jeong accepted it, and the two walked forward together, marking the drama’s ending.

In the closing narration, Su-jeong reflected, "Just as despair can be another name for hope, you, whom I once called a dark past, are now my love," reinforcing how their so-called "cringe-worthy" history had transformed into love.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, My Dearest Nemesis was praised for successfully bringing its vibrant characters to life on screen. The drama gained attention for its unique romance between Ban Ju-yeon, a third-generation chaebol and self-proclaimed otaku who loves comics and games, and Baek Su-jeong, known as the "Director Killer" at work due to her frequent clashes with higher-ups.

The drama also enjoyed global success, topping the Rakuten Viki rankings in 109 countries, including Saudi Arabia, France, and the UK. Additionally, it ranked No. 1 in the Korean drama category on Japan's U-NEXT streaming platform.
