SEOUL, Oct. 23 (Yonhap) -- KOTRA (Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency) has appointed Hallyu stars Woo-young of 2PM and girl band ITZY as their honorary ambassadors for “Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo 2021” which will be held online from the 1st to the 15th of November, according to the agency on the 22nd.

“It is an honor for us to be the ones spreading Hallyu and related industries to the world. As the face of Korea Brand & Entertainment Expo, we will strive to support Korea’s small and medium-size companies,” said the idols at the appointing ceremony in KOTRA’s headquarters in Seocho-gu Seoul.

The two honorary ambassadors will take part in various activities such as holding an online showcase and donating signed T-shirts.

An online showcase including the honorary ambassadors’ performances and making films, will be available on KOTRA official YouTube channel from 10 p.m. on the 5th of November.
