SEOUL, Sept. 4 (Yonhap) -- I.M, a member of K-pop boy group Monsta X, will release his solo song "Loop," on Saturday, according to the singer's agency Starship Entertainment.
"Loop," a song composed and produced by I.M, expresses an unfamiliar version of himself when he gives up at dawn.
The music video released the previous day captures the daily loneliness felt by the singer and the story of when idol "I.M" encounters "Im Chang-kyun (I.M's official Korean name)."
I.M also shared his emotional and inner feelings through the documentary "Welcome To My Baverse," which was released earlier by YouTube music channel Baverse Studios.
"I feel like I'm taking big leaps to become successful, however I'm not trying my best to be happy," I.M said. "I've tried to capture my feelings in a calm sentiment with 'Loop.'"
I.M, who debuted as the lead rapper of Monsta X in 2015, released his mini-album "DUALITY" in February and started his solo artist career. Soon after its release, the album topped iTunes' "Top Albums" chart in 18 countries.
