SEOUL, Jan. 21 (Yonhap) -- With the growing interest in LP, led by the younger generation, an event will be held to introduce and sell albums of various artists.
The Seoul Record Fair announced to open the “10th Seoul Record Fair” on Jan. 22, in two places including the first basement floor of Ryse hotel in Mapo District, Seoul, and the Musinsa Terrace lounge.
The Seoul Record Fair, which was first held in November 2011, was designed to highlight the advantages of LP, which is considered a memory of the analog generation and to promote various albums.
The event, which was held once a year, but not in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19, was reopened after more than two years.
This year's event is smaller than usual and will be held only on Saturday.
Sales booths involving more than 50 teams, including music labels, retail stores, audio companies, and individual artists, will be set up on the first basement floor of the Ryse Hotel and Musinsa Terrace lounge, while showcases will also be held at nearby concert halls.
Limited edition LPs that can only be purchased through Seoul Record Fair will also be released.
The event contains a total of three albums, including a 7-inch album containing the title song "Secret Garden" by the group Oh My Girl in 2018, a mini-album "Secret" by Kim Sa-wol and Kim Hae-won, and Lee Lang's "There is a wolf."
The limited-edition LPs can also be purchased online.
Buyers can purchase the remaining or additional products through the (recordfair.kr) website.
24 LPs prepared by artists including Clazziquai, Common Ground, Kang A-sol, and Bulldog Mansion will also be unveiled for the first time.
The first issue of the magazine that looks back on the past decade of the Seoul Record Fair, contains LP-related information, and artist interviews will also be presented.
