SEOUL, March 27 (Yonhap) -- MBC announced on the 27th that they will broadcast a new daily drama titled 'The Brave Yong Soo-jung' in May this year, casting actors Uhm Hyun-kyung and Seo Jun-young as the leads.
'The Brave Yong Soo-jung' tells the romantic story of Yong Soo-jung, who dreams of becoming a modern-day female mogul, and the romance fate brings her with the mysterious man Yeoui-joo. Uhm Hyun-kyung plays the role of Yong Soo-jung, a 10-year veteran show host, while Seo Jun-young transforms into Yeoui-joo, who lives his life like a villain to protect his mother.
Additionally, actors such as Im Joo-eun, Kwon Hwa-woon, Lee Seung-yeon, Kim Yong-rim, Ji Soo-won, Yang Jung-ah, and Park Chul-min will also appear in the drama.
The drama will be co-directed by PD Lee Min-soo, known for directing ‘The Scarlet Letter' (2010), 'You're the Best!' (2013), ‘Ladies of Storm’ (2014), and 'The Secret House' (2022), and PD Kim Mi-sook, who directed 'Bad Love' (2019).
'The Brave Yong Soo-jung' recently completed its first script reading with the actors and is scheduled to air every Monday to Friday at 7:05 PM starting from May 6th.
