SEOUL, Sept. 17 (Yonhap) -- Veteran ballad singer Yangpa will embark on her first nationwide tour in 27 years, her agency Concept K Company said Wednesday.

The tour, starting with a concert at Yonsei University’s main auditorium in Seoul on Nov. 8, marks her first nationwide tour since her debut solo concert in 1998. After Seoul, she will perform in Daejeon, Cheongju, Jeonju and other cities.

Yangpa debuted in late 1996 with her first album “At the Beginning” featuring the hit single “Novice’s Love.” She went on to release hits such as “I Want to Know,” “I Already Know,” “Special Night” and “What Is Love.”

She recently gained renewed attention by appearing on MBC TV’s music competition show “King of Mask Singer” as “Antique Mirror,” winning five consecutive rounds to take the champion’s seat.

The upcoming “Homecoming” tour will feature major hits like “Novice’s Love” and “I Already Know,” as well as her contribution “Golden” to the Netflix animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” and songs she performed on “King of Mask Singer.” New tracks from her forthcoming full-length album, set for release next month, will also be unveiled.

Concept K Company said the singer will “present the best concert as a gift to fans who have supported her for so long,” adding that more cities will be announced later.
