SEOUL, August 6 (Yonhap) --Choi Shin Ah Art Troupe led by Choi Shin-ah, a dancer from North Korea, will be performing "A Long Way to Go" at the Performance Hall of the Dream Forest Art Center in Seoul on August 13.
It is a place to showcase choreographies by taking advantage of both the South and North Korean dances, featuring the North Korean Janggu Dance, Jaenggang Dance, and Sadang Dance, which are difficult to find in South Korea.
This work was selected as a support project for inter-Korean cultural and artistic exchange by the Arts Council Korea in 2022.
The Choi Shin Ah Art Troupe presents soft and heavy traditional South Korean dance with the light and dynamic North Korean traditional dances, as well as a modern dance that embraces street dances.
Choi Shin-ah, a former dance director in North Korea found the Choi Shin Ah Art troupe and introduced the light and dynamic dances of Notrh Korea after defecting from North Korea.
