SEOUL, Sept. 25 (Yonhap) -- DAY6 has proven their immense popularity by dominating the upper ranks of the Melon weekly chart, one of South Korea’s top music streaming platforms.
According to the latest Melon weekly chart (September 16-22) released on the 25th, DAY6 secured four spots in the top five, with their song "HAPPY" taking the number one position. "Welcome to the Show" followed closely at second place, while "Melting Away" and "I’ll Try" ranked fourth and fifth, respectively.
Earlier this month, DAY6 had already topped the Melon weekly chart for two consecutive weeks (September 2-8 and 9-15) with "Melting Away," the title track from their new mini-album Band Aid. Now, with "HAPPY," a track from their March release Fourever, continuing their chart-topping streak, they further solidified their reputation as a "trustworthy band" praised for their quality music.
Additionally, other DAY6 songs such as "You Were Beautiful" (11th), "Congratulations" (47th), "When You Love Someone" (80th), and "Monster" (93rd) also made it onto the weekly chart.
Riding on this momentum, DAY6 kicked off their third world tour FOREVER YOUNG at the Inspire Arena in Incheon from September 20-22. This marks their first tour in four years and eight months since the GRAVITY world tour. The band is set to visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 5-6, Bali, Indonesia, on the 13th, and Singapore on November 22.
