SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- CGV, the largest multiplex cinema chain based in South Korea, will hold a special event, titled “Fan’s Love Contest (literal title),” where fans of “The First Slam Dunk” will gather together to cheer and watch the film in commemoration of the Japanese animated sports film hitting 3 million admissions earlier this week.
During the event, the film will be screened during which fans of the original manga series “Slam Dunk” can freely cheer for their favorite characters while watching the film in theaters that will be named after the film’s five basketball players of Buksan High School. Any moviegoer who is a fan of one of these players will be able to watch the film with other fans of the same character while chanting cheering slogans.
