Nicole returns to the music scene in 8 years with single 'YOU.F.O'

SEOUL, July 26 (Yonhap) -- “I have received positive feed backs on my solo from members of Kara.”

Nicole from South Korean girl group Kara showed strong ties between members during the press conference for Nicole’s digital single album “YOU.F.O” on Tuesday.

“Members visited me at the music video shoot and gave feed backs such as ‘I think this suite you better.’ which not only motivated me but also allowed me to look more attractive throughout the video.” Nicole recalled her memory from the music video shoot during the press conference.

Nicole’s single album has a identical name as the title track “YOU.F.O”, adds an interesting twist of the unidentified flying object with unidentifiable feeling. The title track has groovy base line with refreshing melody, perfect for the summer.

“I wanted to portray the exciting feeling of meeting someone new throughout the song” explained Nicole during the press conference of her digital single album “YOU.F.O.”

Throughout the press conference Nicole spoke truly of the difficulty she faces from making a comeback in 8 years to the South Korean music scene.

“While preparing for the comeback I had hard time memorizing the lyrics.” adding “I never had problem memorizing the lyrics before, which shocked me and also reminded me of how long I have been away from the music scene.” announced Nicole during the press conference.

Moreover, Nicole continued on by thanking the staff members she worked with by saying “all the staff members really helped me a lot by trusting me and leading me to be calm, and more confident.” adding “Since it has been so long since I dropped a new song, I am currently very excited.”

Nicole also briefly talked about the upcoming plans for the K-pop girl group Kara during the press conference.

“Members of Kara are all working very hard to plan out the comeback as a full group.” adding “We hope to return to our fans within this year because it is our 15th anniversary this year.” announced Nicole regarding the questions related to Kara’s comeback during the press conference.

Nicole, who debuted as a member of K-pop girl group Kara in 2007 continued on with her fame through multiple hit song such as “Pretty Girl,” Honey,” “Mr.” “Lupin” and more.

After Nicole’s term of contract with DSP Media expired in 2014 she debuted as a solo artist with mini album “First Romance.” Afterwards she continued on her music career in Japan.
