Aespa to perform on 'Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,' America's largest Thanksgiving festival

SEOUL, Nov. 2 (Yonhap) -- Aespa, a novel AI-concept girl band, will attend “Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade,” America’s largest Thanksgiving festival, according to their agency SM Entertainment Tuesday.

The band will attend the parade to be held in New York on November 25th (local time).

They are the first K-pop girl-group to perform for the parade on site, the agency said.

Macy’s Parade is a Thanksgiving festival, held by America’s famous department store brand Macy’s, where celebrities and performance crew march around New York on a parade car.

“The most daring K-pop girl band with an SF concept where each member has her own virtual avatar,” said the brand about the group on their website.

Apart from aespa, Darren Criss from America’s popular series “Glee” and Jon Batiste, the OST composer for the film “Soul” will attend this year’s parade as well.

The parade, which stretches from Manhattan Central Park to the Herald Square, will be live-broadcasted by NBC.
