SEOUL, May 16 (Yonhap) -- The 2023 K-POP Lovers Festival ended in a success in Vietnam, its organizers said Tuesday.
The 10th K-POP Lovers Festival was held at Hoan Kiem Lake Square in Hanoi on Saturday. More than 30,000 visitors flocked to the fest, hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in Vietnam.
The event was highlighted by the final round of the K-pop cover contest. Only 21 teams made it to the final after passing the regional preliminary rounds since March.
The festival presented an exhibition that promotes travel to Korea. Korean folk games and rentals for hanbok, or Korean traditional outfit, also gained popularity among photogenic visitors.
K-POP Lovers Festival is the largest K-pop event of the year in Vietnam, a window to the Korean pop music and culture.
