BTS J-hope's solo song 'Chicken Noodle Soup' MV surpasses 300 mil YouTube views

SEOUL, Sep. 30 (Yonhap) -- Music Video (MV) for J-hope of BTS’s solo song “Chicken Noodle Soup” has exceeded 300 million views on YouTube.

The MV surpassed 300 million views at around 6:19 a.m. Thursday, according to the artist’s agency Big Hit Music. The record is in 2 years since its release in September 2019.

J-hope is such an excellent dancer that he is also called ‘chief dancer’ (translated) in BTS. His solo song is a reproduction of musician Webstar and Young B’s “Chicken Noodle Soup,” a song J-hope heard when he first learned dancing. The artist cited the original song’s chorus in his version.

The MV shows point-dance that looks like a chicken flapping its wings and a dynamic group dance with about 50 dancers.

The song features an American famous singer and actress Becky G. J-hope and Mexican-American Becky G have shared their own stories in Korean and Spanish, respectively.

BTS reproduced “Chicken Noodle Soup” into a 7-member version and showcased the special performance in their fan meeting “2021 SOWOOZOO” in June.
