JYP Publishing to hold audition for composers

SEOUL, Mar. 3 (Yonhap) -- JYP Publishing, a music copyright company founded by singer and producer Park Jin-young who is also the founder of the K-pop powerhouse JYP Entertainment, will hold a publishing audition, the firm announced Thursday.

The audition will be held in four categories: Lyricist, topliner (melody composer), producer, and trackmaker (instrumental composer).

Anyone born after 1997 is eligible to apply online via JYP Publishing’s official website. The firm will be accepting entries for about a month from Thursday to Mar. 31.

The grand prize winner will win the opportunity to sign a contract with JYP Publishing along with prize money.
