SEOUL, June 26 (Yonhap) – TV CHOSUN’s Saturday and Sunday drama “Becoming witch,” starring Lee Yu-ri, Lee Min-young, and Yoon Soy, recorded 3.4% viewer rating at the first episode.
According to Nielson Korea, the viewer rating survey company, the viewer rating of the first episode of “Becoming witch,” which was broadcast at 9:10 p.m. on the previous day, was accounted as 3.4%.
The first episode starts with the scene of Gong Ma-ri (Lee Yu-ri), Chae Hui-soo (Lee Min-young), and Yang Jin-ah (Yoon Soy) driving on the road in an open car.
Then, the narration, “One year later, one of us got divorced, another became a mother, and the other died,” evoked curiosity of the audience.
Three women each had a different story.
Gong Ma-ri had trouble with her heartless husband and her in-laws, and Chae Hui-soo had a hard time taking care of her sick mother-in-law. Yang Jin-ah seemed to be satisfied with her current situation of living with the death insurance of her husband who died 5 years ago, but was afraid of something.
These three women with different stories unfolded the mysterious narrative as they faced a crisis at the end of the episode.
Yang Jin-ah, who had been tossing and turning late at night, screamed under a terrible vision, and Chae Hui-soo heightened the atmosphere by confirming if her mother-in-law died as if she hid a secret.
Gong Ma-ri ran over her husband, Lee Nak-gu (Jeong Sang-hoon), after assuring his extramarital affair, but fell down, making an ending of the first episode.
Lee Yu-ri, Lee Min-young, and Yoon Soy caused laughter by exaggeratively expressing the feelings at daily lives and raised expectations for “womance (strong friendship between women),” striving to solve each of their problem.
