SEOUL, Dec. 24 (Yonhap) -- Jeong Dong-won, who is known as the rising star of trot, will perform at his solo concert held in Sejong Center, on Jan. 22.
Jeong will hold his first-ever orchestra concert from Jan. 15 to Jan. 16, according to his agency Show Play on Monday.
“Jeong is the youngest artist to hold a solo concert at Sejong Center in 44 years since its opening,” explained the entertainment company.
Following the previous “1st Jeong Dong-won’s Talk Concert” and “1st Jeong Dong-won’s Christmas Concert,” the upcoming concert will be the last series of performances under the brand name of Jeong Dong-won, with more than 60 members including the orchestra, choir, band, and the choreography team.
The concert will showcase a variety of songs with the message of a student who learns music.
Jeong first appeared in KBS 1TV’s National Singing Contest, Hamyang-Gun episode, and was called a ‘trot rising star’ and ‘musical genius’ after starring in “Screening Humanity” and “Finding Genius.”
The singer then won fifth place in TV Chosun’s audition program “Mr. Trot,” with his vocal power, and released his first regular album “The Giving Tree” on Nov. 2021.
