SEOUL, Mar. 4 (Yonhap) – Netflix announced on Friday that it will unveil the spy action film “Yaksha: Ruthless Operations” starring Sol Kyung-gu on Apr. 8.
"Yaksha" follows the story of NIS’ secret operation black team, special inspection prosecutor, and the agents of Intelligence Service from each country in Shenyang, China.
Sol plays Ji Kang-inn, called as a man-eating ghost “Yaksha,” who is the head of the NIS branch in Shenyang and the black team. Park Hae-soo acts as prosecutor Han Ji-hoon, who is demoted to Shenyang and monitors the black team. Yang Dong-geun, Lee El, Song Jae-rim, and Jin-young play the agents of the black team.
The movie, which was scheduled to be distributed by Showbox, postponed its release date due to COVID-19 and finally chose to reveal on Netflix.
It is the new film of director Na Hyun, who presented “The Prison” in 2017.
