SEOUL, Oct. 8 (Yonhap) -- Film company Dalligi announced on the 8th that "The Second Child," in which actress Im Soo-jung participated as a producer, has completed casting and recently begun filming.
Im Soo-jung played a key role in the overall planning and production process of the project for the past two years. The film tells the story of Geum-ok, a mother who believes that her first daughter, Su-ryeon, took her own life. Her world is turned upside down when Jae-in, a doppelgänger of her deceased daughter, appears before her.
Im Soo-jung shared, "I was captivated by the script, and participating in the entire production process for the first time as a producer deepened my affection and sense of responsibility for the project. I will do my best to ensure that the film is completed smoothly in the remaining time." She also stars in the film, playing the role of Geum-ok, a woman who encounters the curse that has taken over her home as she unravels the truth behind her daughter’s death.
Child actor Park So-yi, known for her roles in "Deliver Us from Evil" and the drama "The Atypical Family," plays Su-an, the younger daughter who wakes up from a three-year coma to meet her sister's doppelgänger. Yoo Na, who recently appeared in dramas like "Good Partner," "The Kidnapping Day," and "Pachinko," plays Jae-in, the mysterious figure who disrupts Geum-ok's family.
