SEOUL, Aug. 28 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Heritage Service (KHS) said Thursday it signed a cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture on intangible heritage research.
The agreement, signed the previous day at the National Palace Museum of Korea, covers strengthening digitization of intangible heritage records, cooperation in holding academic conferences, joint research, and consultation on establishing a new intangible heritage organization in Saudi Arabia.
The two sides will cooperate closely in surveys, research, education and information sharing on intangible heritage.
The signing was attended by Yoon Soon-ho, director general for intangible heritage at the Korea Heritage Service, and his Saudi Arabian counterpart, Maha Abdullah Alsenan.
The service said the two agencies will form a joint working team to identify concrete tasks for collaboration, such as information exchange and expert training, and expand their partnership.
