SEOUL, Aug. 4 (Yonhap) -- Amid the 'comeback war' between popular singers with new albums in August, various solo male artists, starting from idols to trot singers, are also announcing the release of their new album one after another.
Park Ji-hoon, a former member of the project group Wanna One, will release his fourth mini-album "My Collection" on Aug. 12.
"My Collection" will include six songs, such as the title track "Gallery," "Lost," "Strawberry," and "I Wonder."
Park has also collaborated with several artists in his upcoming mini-album. The winner of Mnet's "Show Me the Money 9," rapper Lil Boi, featured in "Lost" while singer-songwriter Colde participated in producing "Strawberry."
Park will also hold a real-life like online concert "Your Collection" on Aug. 28 and present not only his latest songs from the new album but also solo performances that he has released so far.
Singer Ha Sung-woon, who also worked as a member of Wanna One with Park Ji-hoon, will release his fifth mini album repackage "Select Shop" on Aug. 9.
Ha recently posted a poster with the lyrics and album related contents on social media. The specific track list is scheduled to be released later.
Trot singer Jang Min-ho, who became one of the leading trot artists through TV Chosun's "Mr. Trot," will release his new song "That's What Life Is (tentative title)." on Aug. 8.
This is Jang's first new song to be released in a year and two months since releasing "Read and Ignored," which was produced by trot singer Young-tak, and the soundtrack "Hit the Jackpot" for MBC's drama "Kkondae Intern."
Jang Min-ho began self-quarantine after being tested positive for COVID-19 last month, but recently announced that he will resume his activities after being recovered completely. On Tuesday, Jang also released a personal video to directly deliver the news of his upcoming song.
Rapper snzae will return with his new mini-album "Born to Be Cool" on Aug. 11 after a two-year hiatus.
Amoeba Culture, snzae's agency mentioned, "Since it's been a long time since snzae last released an album, this opportunity will show a matured side of the rapper both externally and internally."
The rapper ranked fourth in Mnet's "High School Rapper" in 2017, and proved both his rapping and vocal skills by advancing to the finals on JTBC's "Superband 2," which aired starting from last month.
Singer-songwriter Gaho will pre-release his full-length album "RIDE" on Aug. 12.
The singer announced the release of his full-length album in May by releasing his lead single "Rush Hour."
Gaho, who made his name known as the composer of one of the soundtracks for drama "While You Were Sleeping" and SHINee's song "I Say," began to officially draw attention he swept local music charts last year by singing the theme track "Start Over" for popular drama "Itaewon Class."
