SEOUL, Apr. 13 (Yonhap) -- Freedom Protection Peace Museum in Dongducheon, Gyeonggi province announced on the 13th that they will extend opening hours from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for nine days starting from the upcoming 20th, along with the flowering season of cherry blossom in and around the driveway and the outside exhibition hall.


Freedom Protection Peace Museum located at Soyosan Tourist Site presents a grand sight with beautiful night scenery, cherry blossoms being full in bloom in and around there every April.

Freedom Protection Peace Museum is a museum that introduces Korean War and twenty-one nations of UN participated in the war. The museum exhibits related relics, photos, and videos of Korean war.

An official from the museum said, "We are opening at night for the first time in three years due to the spread of COVID-19," adding, "We hope that many citizens enjoy the spring season while watching the cherry blossoms in full swing in the museum this year."
