SEOUL, April. 18 (Yonhap) -- The drama "Family: The Unbreakable Bond," which includes action and skillful comic acting, has started off with a viewer rating of 4%.

According to Nielsen Korea, a ratings research company, on Tuesday, the first episode of the tvN drama "Family," which aired at 8:50 p.m. the previous day, was 4.9%.

In the first broadcast, a fight between husband Kwon Do-hoon (played by Jang Hyuk), the NIS' Black agent, who disguised himself as an ordinary office worker, and his wife Kang Yu-ra (played by Jang Na-ra), who dreams of a perfect family, has been depicted.

Kang Yu-ra forgave her husband, who missed her birthday, daughter's first birthday, and wedding anniversary under the pretext of a lot of work, saying, "I understand everything," but she eventually explodes when even at the 10th wedding anniversary trip she leaves alone.

Kang Yu-ra threatens not to relieve her anger unless her husband lets her meet her boss Oh, who instructs him to do excessive work, but she can't hide her embarrassment when she finds out that Oh, who she thought was a man, was actually a woman.

Jang Hyuk and Jang Na-ra, who have already appeared together in their fourth work, have raised the fun of watching them with their natural life acting that highlights chemistry.

Jang Hyuk's acting transformation also drew attention. Jang Hyuk presents a cool action of knocking down a gang of criminals with his hands tied but when he stands in front of his wife, he shows sad look which makes people feel sorry for him.

The drama shows cartoonistic directing techniques such as inserting animations and drawing word balloons on the screen, which resulted in mixed reactions such as "fresh" and "interrupting."

MBC's daily drama "Meant To Be," which first aired at 7:05 p.m. on the same day, started with a 3.7% viewer rating. It is lower than the first episode of "Witch's Game," which aired at the same time (6.2%).

In the previous day's broadcast, Kang Chi-hwan (Kim Yoo-suk) made an irreversible choice in pursuit of money and power.

Kang Chi-hwan abandons his lover Lee Soon-young (Shim Yi-young), who had his child, to marry Jeon Mi-gang (Koh Eun-mi), the daughter of Jeon Sang-chul (Jeong Han-yong) of Mujeong Construction, and tries to remove her.

Lee Soon-young, who ran away to save her life, raised tension by running a close chase to avoid Kang Chi-hwan. It also heralded a desperate revenge play that will unfold in the future.
