SEOUL, Feb. 27 (Yonhap) -- ILLIT’s debut song Magnetic has been certified double platinum in the streaming category by the Recording Industry Association of Japan (RIAJ), their agency announced on Thursday.

As of January, Magnetic surpassed 200 million cumulative streams, earning the double platinum certification, according to Belift Lab. The RIAJ grants certifications based on total streaming counts, with gold for 50 million, platinum for 100 million, and diamond for 500 million.

The song, the title track of ILLIT’s first mini-album released in March last year, achieved double platinum status in just 10 months—setting the record for the fastest certification among all female groups in Japan, including local artists, according to the agency.
