SEOUL, November 6 (Yonhap) -- tvN's Friday-Saturday drama "Blind," looking for the brutal serial killer, ended with a 3% view rate.
According to Nielson Korea, on November 6, the last episode of "Blind," which aired at 10:40 p.m. on November 5, recorded 3.1% (non-terrestrial channels, paid households).
In the last episode, the ugly reality of the perpetrators, which was hidden from the public, was revealed, so that the harsh child abuse at the Hope Welfare Center 20 years ago was not known to the world.
Ryu Sung-hoon (Ha Seok-jin), a former member of the Hope Welfare Center, faced Judge Ryu Il-ho (Choi Hong-il), the last person to seek revenge, and at the same time, the person who adopted him. He made Ryu Il-ho confess to himself that he overturned his ruling after receiving sexual favors.
Another victim of Hope Welfare Center, Jung Yoon-jae (Park Ji-bin), who was imprisoned, killed Baek Moon-gang (Kim Pub-lae), the "crazy dog" who bullied them 20 years ago, and ended his long journey of revenge by committing suicide afterwards.
Ryu Sung-hoon, who is suspected of murder, requested a public participation trial and delivered the reality of the Hope Welfare Center 20 years ago through the trial. People were angry at the society that ignored the truth, and the show foretold hopeful changes.
Cho In-sook (Cho Yeon-hee), who was a nurse at the Hope Welfare Center, appeared as a decisive witness in the trial and offered a sincere apology, revealing why she had no choice but to perjure in the past.
The drama "Blind" features a series of murders and a process of digging into the truth of the past 20 years ago. The terrible revenge committed by the victims, who were trampled and had all their hopes stolen, led to their own destruction, drawing bitterness.
As a genre that delves into mystery events, it is said to have increased immersion through solid narrative and development beyond prediction. It also added the fun of reasoning with the criminal through variations in characters that cross between good and evil.
The drama also left a heavy message about the consequences when ordinary people make choices out of their own interests and overlook someone's tragedy.
Although the drama was r-rated, some pointed out that the drama was too violent as the scenes of disastrous murder and bloodshed continued from the first to the last episode.
