SEOUL, April 25 (Yonhap) -- Group BTS Jimin’s luxury apartment in Hannam-dong, Yongsan-gu, Seoul was temporarily seized because the member hadn’t paid his health insurance premiums.

Jimin did not pay about 28 million won of health insurance premiums and had his apartment seized last January, according to the music industry, Monday.

This Nine One Hannam apartment was purchased in May 2021 by Jimin for 5.9 billion won. The singer paid all the arrears in full and the seizure has been lifted.

The agency, Big Hit Music explained, "The company receives the mail that arrives at the artists' dorms and delivers it to the artists. In this procedure, a portion of mail was omitted," adding, “Jimin wasn’t aware of the delayed payment because of his overseas schedules and extended vacation starting from the end of last year. Just as he knew, the artist paid all the payments and the issue has been resolved.”

“We apologize to the artist and fans for causing concern due to the company’s negligence.”
