SEOUL, April. 20 (Yonhap) -- The Korea Communications Standards Commission said on Thursday that complaints related to various controversies on Mnet’s idol competition program “Boys Planet” have been received, including allegations of fraudulent voting.
As of that day, a total of 11 complaints related to "Boys Planet" have been received.
The Korea Communications Standards Commission is to analyze the contents of the complaint and decide whether to put it on the agenda of the meeting.
Meanwhile, the Truth Commission, which consists of fans who raised suspicions of manipulating Mnet's past audition program "Produce Series," said it also submitted a petition to the Korea Communications Standards Commission on the previous day.
The Truth committee has pointed out suspicions that it abused its broadcasting authority to give preferential treatment to certain participants, the indicators that serve as the basis for various rankings were not transparently disclosed and were used as important criteria in competitions, vote rigging, and supporting participants in subsidiary affiliates.
"Boys Planet" will end with the final live broadcast on this day.
