SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Yonhap) -- It was recently revealed that EXO's Baekhyun donated 50 million won to support the repatriation of cultural artifacts.

According to his agency, INB100, Baekhyun made the donation to the National Museum of Korea Foundation in January. The funds are being used to recover cultural artifacts that remain overseas.

Baekhyun was inspired to donate after participating in a musical event aimed at promoting the culture of donations and contributions. Although he had not publicly announced his donation, the news became known when he attended the 50th-anniversary ceremony of the National Museum of Korea Foundation on the 26th as a donor member.

Through his agency, Baekhyun expressed, "I hoped that the National Museum of Korea, representing our country, would have better exhibition conditions and that our unrepatriated artifacts would return to their rightful place, allowing many people to connect with them fully."

The National Museum of Korea Foundation, established in 1974, is a group of individuals who support the National Museum of Korea, participating in activities like cultural heritage donations, academic projects, and improving exhibition conditions.

Baekhyun is currently promoting his fourth mini-album, "Hello, World," which was released on the 6th of this month.
